Course Description:

The American Heart Association’s ACLS Provider Course is designed for healthcare professionals who either direct or participate in the management of cardiopulmonary arrest or other cardiovascular emergencies. This includes personnel in emergency response, emergency medicine, intensive care, and critical care units.

 

What to Expect:

 

  • Hands-on, instructor-led training
  • High-quality simulations for real-life emergency scenarios
  • Skills practice and testing in airway management, rhythm recognition, defibrillation, cardioversion, IV access, and team dynamics
  • Review of BLS skills, including high-performance CPR
  • Pharmacology related to resuscitation

Prerequisites:

 

  • Current AHA BLS Provider certification (can be completed the day prior if needed)
  • Precourse self-assessment (completed online before class)

 

 

Certification:

Upon successful completion, students will receive an AHA ACLS Provider eCard, valid for 2 years
